Photo Simulations

The following images are photo simulations of a 100-MW wind farm located off the coast of Long Island. The wind farm is simulated south of Jones Beach. Distances of three and six nautical miles from shore are simulated. Each turbine is assumed to have a hub height of 262 feet (80 m), a rotor diameter of 328 feet (100m), and a rating of 3 MW. The rotor tip would have a maximum height of 426 feet (130 m) above the ocean surface. Note that in some of the pictures, not the entire wind farm is visible.
